Day 1

Muscat City Tour – Bimmah sink hole – Tiwi

After pick up from your Hotel at 0800 hrs we will first make a city tour this will include the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – The Royal Opera House – The Bait Al Zubair Museum – The National Museum – The Sultan’s Palace Al Alam – Forts Al Jalali & Al Mirani. The Tour will not include the Souq in Muttrah.  After lunch we will drive to Tiwi. On the way we wil stop to visit the Bimmah sink Hole. We will stay overnight in a Hotel in Tiwi.

Day 2

Tiwi – Wadi Shab – Wadi Arbeieen – Wadi Dayqah –  Muscat

We first visit Wadi Shab. The highlight of Wadi Shab is to swim through the keyhole to see the waterfall inside the cave. Bring some suitable foot wear that you do not mind getting wet and be careful some of the rocks on the way to the cave are slippery. Bring a waterproof camera if you have one! We drive back up the coast and turn off at Dibba to drive along a beautiful wadi to Wadi Arbeieen  After perhaps another swim we drive  along a road which can be described as a geological wonderland to visit Wadi Dayqah dam and the reservoir. 

Day 1

Muscat City Tour – Desert Camp 

After pick up from your Hotel at 0800 hrs we will first make a city tour. The tour will include the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – The Royal Opera House – The Bait Al Zubair Museum – The National Museum – The Sultan’s Palace Al Alam – Forts Al Jalali & Al Mirani. The Tour will not include the Souq in Muttrah  After lunch we will drive to the desert camp in the Wahiba sands. 

Day 2

Desert Camp – Camel Ride* – Wadi Bani Khalid – Muscat

After breakfast it is possible to take an optional camel ride. We will then drive to  Wadi Bani Khalid. The Wadi has deep blue pools surrounded by spectacular mountains and date palms making it a perfect place to soak up the sun, go for a swim and absorb some of Oman’s natural beauty. Wadi Bani Khalid is one of Oman’s most popular destinations and can be very busy at weekends or local Holidays. Bring your swimming gear! A swim in the rock pools is a must.

Day 1

Muscat City Tour – Turtles 

After pick up from your Hotel at 0800 hrs we will first make a city tour. The tour will include the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque – The Royal Opera House – The Bait Al Zubair Museum – The National Museum – The Sultan’s Palace Al Alam – Forts Al Jalali & Al Mirani. The Tour will not include the Souq in Muttrah  After lunch we will drive to Ras Al Jinz and check in to the Guest House. The Turtle Tour is at 2100 hrs or at 0500 hrs

Day 2

Turtles – Sur – Wadi Tiwi – Bimmah Sink Hole – Muscat

From the Turtle reserve we drive back along the coast to Sur. Sur historically was a center of shipping trade to East-Africa it is also famous for boat building. Dhows can still be seen being built in the traditional way that has not changed for hundreds of years (Except the engine of course). We then drive to Wadi Tiwi. We drive along a very narrow winding road until we reach the village of Mibam. From here we walk down through the date palms and down some steps to view the beautiful Waterfall. It is a very nice place to relax and have a swim.  After lunch we drive back to Muscat via the Bimmah Sink Hole. The Sink Hole is a lovely place to swim and jump of the rocks or just dip your feet in for a fantastic free fish spa as it contains many “doctor fish”

Day 1

Muscat – Bimmah Sink Hole – Wadi Shab – Turtles

From Muscat, we drive southeast on the road towards Sur  our first stop is at the Bimmah Sink Hole. This is a lovely place to swim and jump of the rocks or just dip your feet in for a fantastic free fish spa as it contains many “doctor fish”. After relaxing at Bimmah we will drive 20 minutes further down the coast to Wadi Shab. The highlight of Wadi Shab is to swim through the keyhole to see the waterfall inside the cave. Bring some suitable foot wear that you do not mind getting wet and be careful some of the rocks on the way to the cave are slippery   From Wadi shab we drive to the Turtle resort at Raz Al Jinz.

Day 2

Turtles – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands

After breakfast  we drive towards Al Kamil turning right at the junction making our way to the fabulous Wadi Bani Khalid. The Wadi has deep blue pools surrounded by spectacular mountains and date palms making it a perfect place to soak up the sun, go for a swim and absorb some of Oman’s natural beauty.  Bring your swimming gear! A swim in the rock pools is a must.  After drying off we drive into the Wahiba Sands. We visit a Bedouin family for coffee and dates and an optional Camel ride. After lunch at a local Restaurant we drive back to Muscat.

Day 1

Muscat – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands – Desert Camp

It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Muscat to Wadi Bani Khalid. The Wadi has deep blue pools surrounded by spectacular mountains and date palms making it a perfect place to soak up the sun, go for a swim. Wadi Bani Khalid is one of Oman’s most popular destinations and can be very busy at weekends or local Holidays. Bring your swimming gear! After lunch, we head for the Desert Camp. We choose a camp  which is far enough in the Wahiba sands to escape all light and noise pollution from the nearby town of Badiya. We will arrive before sunset to ensure we witness the sun setting over the golden sand dunes.

Day 2

Desert Camp – Sur – Wadi Shab ­– Bimmah sink hole – Muscat

After breakfast, it is possible to take a camel ride or do some  dune bashing (an exhilarating drive through the Dunes) Please be aware that dune bashing must be undertaken at your own risk.  After leaving the desert we drive to Sur where we will visit the boat yard to see being built in the traditional way. From Sur we drive along the coast to Wadi Shab. The highlight of Wadi Shab is to swim through the keyhole to see the waterfall inside the cave. Bring some suitable foot wear that you do not mind getting wet and be careful some of the rocks on the way to the cave are slippery   From Wadi shab we drive to the  Bimmah Sink hole before driving back to Muscat.

Muscat – Nizwa – Jabrin – Bahla – Jebel Shams

Day 2

Balcony Walk – Misfat al Abriyeien– Muscat

After breakfast we drive the short journey to the start of the Balcony walk. This walk is not too arduous and is suitable for most people of moderate fitness. It meanders along just below the edge of the Grand Canyon and leads to a rock pool and an abandoned village at the end of the path. The scenery is truly spectacular. After gathering our breath, we drive back down the Jebel to Al Hamra where we will have lunch. After lunch we drive to the quaint village of Misfah Al Abriyeen, enclosed by spectacular date palms and cliff faces. We take a stroll along the Falaj irrigation channels and paths. We then return to Muscat 

Day 2

Turtles – Wadi Arbeieen – Wadi Dayqah Dam

From Ras Al Hadd we drive back along the coast and at Dibba we turn of to drive  to the majestic Wadi Arbeieen. There is a large rock pool with a beautiful waterfall. Its great fun to jump off the rocks and swim up against the flow of the waterfall. After drying off we drive through a geological wonder land and then through Wadi Dayqah to visit the Wadi Dayqah Dam and reservoir. The Dam was built in 2012 its quite an engineering marvel, the Dam holds back a reservoir that can store up to 100 million cubic meters of water. The reservoir is surrounded by a nice park so a great place to relax and maybe soak up some sun before returning to Muscat.
